Christmas 2007!!

Wow!! Time flies!! Christmas is around the corner and surprisingly all Christmas deco in shopping mall was done up so fast!! Went to Pyramid on Saturday with Samuel and Samson; when we reached the Pyramid new wing's hall, WOW!! Christmas trees, presents, candy house and also a Choo-Choo Train ride for kids is just perfectly being setup. Suddenly all my Christmas mood raised up to the tip of my head and can't wait to melt myself into the atmosphere. Oh.. Christmas!! My favorite holiday....

The Boys love the deco so much and keep telling me in a very high voice; "Mummy! Mummy! Christmas! Christmas!" I said "Yes! Yes! Christmas is a birthday celebration. Do you know who's birthday is on that day?". Then all my boys say "It's JESUS birthday!!!" That's what I told them the meaning of Christmas. I know it should be more than that but try to input bit by bit each year as they grow up becoming a man and understanding fully the real true meaning of Christmas.

Oh ya!! It's also time for me to list out all my friends' name list and do the Christmas Shopping...That's the most headache part... But the most enjoyable part and also my most favorite part is the gift wrapping part. Time to show my wrapping "Kung Fu"!! Haha.. but 1st of all, let's done up my list first....

Kissing, Kissing...

Shawn can do the kissing now with anyone that he likes or whenever he wants to. When I say "kiss, kiss to mummy" and show my lips to him, he will put his lip on mine..but definately a wet one..haha..

Nowsday, he loves eating so much. Anything we put into our mouth, he also sapu(swipe) together. He ate ice-cream (i think it's his favorite food), biscuits, fruits and etc,etc,etc...

He walks around the house very steadily now and learn to climb up to the sofa. He is good at climbing down from sofa by crawling backward and let his leg touches the floor first. He is definately good with all his physical skill and do it all by himself. I think maybe he obverse how the brothers do it.horrr... Oh ya, he also knows how to stack the toy and step on it, so that he can keep himself "High" and reach out. It is dangerous but can not stop him from his creativities to do all these.

With all the tricks he had, I still prefer his kissing tricks yea...It's really melt his mummy's heart.

Dine Out.

Yesterday I had an enjoyable lunch together with 3 boys at the Pizza Hut in Subang Parade after the church service; even though the services provided by the restaurant was bad. (They can't handle with such big crowd on Sunday and I guess they are lack of training) Anyway, I have ordered 2 kid pizza set for the 2 elder boys and I had pasta set which shared with the little one. Unfortunately, daddy can't make it to join us for this lunch coz he was in Ipoh for his business trip. Usually daddy and grandma(MIL) will dine out together but this time..yap without them is the 1st time horrr...

So, managed to settle 3 boys by myself and luckily Samuel is a good helper to me. (Haha, that's the good thing all my kids are 3 years apart and that's the advantage of the elderly is old enough to help) People sitting around our table while waiting for their food, they are actually also looking at me and see how this woman managed to take care 3 boys out for makan?? Well, basically, Shawn can play with his toy while dinning together and just fed him something like garlic bread and pasta, then he will not "kacau" you.. The only thing needs to handle is the 2 elderly boys; Samson cannot sit still in his chair and likes to "kacau" his ko-ko. Ended up 2 boys have a small fight and got scolded by me (whispering with anger actually). Then they sat quietly for a while and start the whole thing again. : Anyway we managed to have a good conversation during the lunch (actually Samson is the one who asked a lot of questions....)

Lastly before we left the restaurant, photo taken together using my new HP iPAQ and see how enjoyable they are ..

"eeekkk, can't breathhhhh...."

Shawn Walks.

Shawn is walking around the house already. For the past one week plus, his walking skill improve each and everyday; from 3-4 steps to 10 steps and now almost like running from room to room and from dining to kitchen.

He never fails practicing himself since his 1st step. He started let go all his supporting equipments and started his steps on his own. He failed during the practicing, he cried and he stands up again and again. Bravo for his determination and consistency!! That's my little boy..

Shawn 1st Birthday Party!!

Finally, the day came.. Shawn's 1st birthday... How was the party?? Oh..It's great!!

Even though it's a small party but it's fun and I am sure Shawn enjoy it very much. All my friends came although a few of them can't make it, but still really it was a great party.

Stand Straight!..

Shawn learns to stand still by himself and he is very good at it. Last few days, he was pushing himself up and still need a little support to hold a bit so that he can stand straight. After a few attempts, he can now stand straight by himself without any help. After he pulled himself up, immediately he will give you a cute and successful smile... He is soooo.. cute!!

He is now able to walk few steps if I am sitting around, guess he got the confidence when sees mummy is just beside him. The next thing he would do which he might start explore his first step without any support very soon... ummm better stand by my digital cam to cam it.

Not to forget to mentioned that he actually can "Crawl" out from his walker by pulling himself out with the help of the SOFA!! Haha...

Lantern Festival in 2007..

We had a great time last night to gather together and "play" lighting for this occasion. 3 boys, daddy and myself went to the play ground and enjoy the fun after the dinner.

I bought 2 traditional lantern for Samuel and Samson and 1 battery operate lantern for Shawn's 1st lantern festival; not to forget 2 boxes of candles...

The boys supposed to walk around the playground with their lighted lantern but due to strong wind last night; the boys start losing their interest on the lantern and I also got fed up for keep lighting up the candle as it's easily blow off due to the strong wind.

So daddy started to lighted up the remaining candles on the floor and the boys felt so excited to have the chance to play with fire which they usually banded from all these.

Ahh... Shawn.. Shawn having fun with his little lantern and he does not allowed anyone touch his lantern else he will show you his fierce face.

Still remember last year the same day in lunar calendar (15th day of month 8), I also planned to bring Samuel and Samson to the playground for lighting up their lantern but right after I locked my gate , my water bag burst... Yap..Shawn is on his way liao. Quickly, went back into the house and called daddy to sent me to the hospital. The next morning, Shawn arrived at 3 am. He was born on the 16th day of the Chinese Lunar calendar and so today is his BIRTHDAY!!! haha..

Planning For The Big Day.

Few more days, my little Shawn will turn 11 months old. By another month he will turn 1. Have some plan in mind for his big day and really hope that this time round shall be a satisfy one at least no regret for me.

Since we don't have a lot of relatives in town, I actually planned to invite my own sister and friends from the church cell group. They really bless my kids a lot and I really hope all of them from my invited list will come.

Planned a small party for Shawn; a birthday cake and some snacks and drinks. Think should have it in the afternoon so that Shawn would have his party after his nap.

Told my hubby about my plan but he doesn't seems really exited about it. MIL think kids shouldn't have such celebration. In order not to let them stop me from planning this party for Shawn, I actually told that my Sis wanted to have the party for Shawn... Hehe, gotta use my Sis name, hope she don't mind even it seems to be a little lie for her. >p

Well, invitation needs to be out soon to book my friends' date. Hummm..I wish to have a nice and beautiful cake for Shawn. Definately an unforgetable party we ever had..

Shawn Wave! Wave!

Shawn is doing his new tricks these few days. He starts to waves to everybody when we all at the doorstep and ready to go off. Happily he waves at us and we all happily wave back to him. He looks cute to me..Hehe!! Sure all mother will say that about their own baby.

Got to see his 7th and 8th teeth came out at his lower gum. There are some more to come coz he's having fever yesterday...again; and I guess will last for few days. He still don't like to start his crawling section and I guess he will skip that part. He start his walking and crusing around the house especially when he grap anyone who his nearby him, he will start to pull himself up and yippy!! go or rather run around the house. Loves to throw all his toys on the floor or under the sofa.. Will point and shake his body when there's music and wording came out after the series ends on TV. Can differenciate family and stangers and yet still quite freindly to stanger; but once see mummy around, will start to cry and catch mummy attention.

Lately do not really spend much time with him coz busy with Samuel's school exam. Total 8 subjects in this week for 3 days.Wow! don't know how the 7 yr old kids can take it. Ayway that's life, he got to get use of that and have promised him if he got all his paper more than 90%, will buy him a game boy. (is that too much??) Daddy also promised to buy him a watch.

Amazingly today found that Samson can read his alphabets all correctly. Proud of him ye... He is a clever boy and smart too even sometime he is a bit chicky.

Room Seperation

Few nights ago, daddy "forcing" Samuel and Samson to sleep at their room and ended up my boys cried and shouted at their room at 12 midnight. I guess it's my fault too, coz I use to think that kids will not cling on you many years so I let my boys sleep with me in one bed as long as they like. Even sometimes, we sleep on a different bed but as long we are in the same room, my boys already satisfy. But that night, daddy said it's time they sleep without mummy ard. So, when I was busy breast feeding my 3rd boy, daddy ask the boys to sleep next door alone. I got no choice and let daddy do the bad guy roll..

It has been 3 nights liao, esp Samuel; he cried the most and still crying but lesser each night before he fall sleep. Samson looks tougher than the ko-ko (as long he is not alone, he is fine).

I know, my room gets congested already when all my boys grown up very soon... My heart feel so hard to let go (sounds like they are leaving me soon,horr ??) but that's the only way they will become more independent.

Shawn 9 months old.

Shawn is already nine months old liao on 07/07/07 (wow!! good number). He is growing healthily and cheerfully; loves his smile, his 4 little teeth and his excitement each day I reach at the door step.

His development quite differ from his brothers, Samuel never adventure his crawling hood, yet Samson follow exactly what the development guide show; from sitting, crawling right up to walking and running. Have tried to put Shawn on the floor and let him start doing the crawling trick but he refuse to do so. He just sit on the floor and turning right and left, eager to reach his toys with a distance from him; but still refuse to crawl. Saw a little girl born later than Shawn 10 days started to crawl and pull herself up which already I find it amazing. Well, guess different baby develop differently, maybe Shawn will be just like his elder brother Samuel, skip the crawling part and may go straight to pulling himself up and start walking. Who knows, he might amaze me very soon....

One more thing which Shawn did amazed me is that he can do his own rocking in his sarong cradle. Haha.. I have heard some baby did that but never thought that Shawn can do that too..

I am also in the mist of thinking shall I plan a birthday party for Shawn's 1st birthday. Mmm.. who should I invite?? Relatives? or Friends?? No idea yet. For Samuel and Samson, never do any big 1st birthday party for them before, so don't know should I do one for Shawn. Sounds not fair horr?? He might be my last baby, so wanna grap all the event or happening which I have missed for my elder boys. Hehe, Shawn gets all of it....

Shawn Having High Fever

Shawn having his fever started on Sunday evening. I gave him panadol in liquid form and that night he slept well but yesterday night he seems like getting worst as he can not sleeps well the whole night. He woke up a few times in the mid night and I tried offer him my breast to comfort him. He did sucks for a while but still continue to cry to show how uncomfortable he was.

This morning when Samuel called me during my office hour, I can hear my little Shawn crying none stop over the phone and so I decided to bring him to the paed. Took 2 hrs off from work and off back to home and pick Shawn to the paed. Well, Dr said he is having viral infection which my mum and my MIL is having the flu and cough also these few days. I guess Shawn is infected by them.

Come to think about it, how come a BF baby can not fight with the normal virus? His antibody is not strong enough to fight?? I am trying to wean him off for the past 1 month and only BF Shawn during night time (2 times only) and just started to replace one night feed with formula for the past few nights. Now my main concern is that will that be the cause his antibody become low?? I remember when his 1st teeth came out, he do not have any fever at all. Wonder why?? Is it also because only 7 months of breast feeding doesn't seems long enough to help him to build up the antibody?? or maybe it's just part of his growing journey no matter he is formula feed or breast feed..

After his visit to the paed and took the medicine, he seems to feel better and I hope he can have a good sleep tonight and of course for me as well.....

PS : Shawn also having a few spots of fungus at his bottom but Dr says it is small matter. The fungus might be due to some infection in his stomach and causes the stool carried with virus which his baby skin can not take it and form the fungus at the later stage. But anyway, Dr says no worries; a small can of cream will heal all the fungus.

Shawn's First Trick

Has been 2 weeks already, my darling Shawn keeps repeating his first trick to attract all our attention by clapping his hands.

Every time the grandpa comes back from outside, he will starts shouting to his grandpa and clap his hand to show his welcome home trick to his grandpa. Seems like he is the joy of his grandpa now.. ;)

I really enjoy seeing him doing the same tricks over and over again..

Mummy clever boy!!

Shawn First Word and First Snack.

Haha!!... From what I have expected, Shawn's first word is "Mum-Mum" exactly like his 2 elderly brothers; their first word also the same word. I hear Shawn mentioned it when I ate my apple last night.

He was so excited the past few weeks when he saw his family members had their food or snack while watching TV. He will slowly come to you in his walker and starts to be so excited and hoping that you will pop something into his mouth. His mouth will starts repeating the same movement ; open and close his mouth like a little fish saw its food... Snacks like bread, cakes and fruits, all of us start to share with him and fed him with a small little bite.

I also bought him the baby rice cracker, the first time he taste it he can't resisted it as he hold his cracker so tide and even don't allow us to touch his little snack in his hand. He love it so much!!..

Lost in Shopping Mall !!

It has been a shocked for me when we had our family outing yesterday at IOI Mall. 4 Kids and baby Shawn went to shopping with 5 adults including myself, hubby, MIL, BIL and SIL.

When we were at the Jusco ground floor, the men were busy shopping at the car accessories dept and the ladies were busy going to queue up at the payment counter. Before we went to the counter, I saw the boys (BIL's son 9 yo, Samuel and Samson) were gathered at the TV display and watching the TV. So, happily we went to the payment count and thought that the men might watch the boys coz they are the nearest to the boys.

Right after we done the payment, I noticed the boys were next to us and I started to count (which I usually do). I couldn't find Samson, so I ask the elder boys and they just telling me "don't know??".. My heart start dropping and I guess my face also turned green and grey.

I quickly rushed back to the TV display area and start looking for him and I started to pray in tongue. Then the security guard saw me and he ask me whether I am looking for a boy, then I answered him yes. Then he asked me to look for him at the information counter. My hubby also told me that the information counter already start paging about a lost boy which I can't even hear a single word coz the mall was crowed with people.

Again I rushed to the information counter and start looking for him. Thank GOD he is there, sitting at the corner and with tears in his eyes. I called his name but I guess he must be in shock and don't know how to react when he saw me. I went in and carried him then only he starts to grab my leg very tight.

Really thank GOD he is ok even though got such a shock in my life and I guess it is also a lesson to both of us. Samson will not simply run around the shopping mall and I will not simply rely on others any more which thought that the men and the elder boys would have an eye on the younger ones. I started to teach Samson to shout to look for mummy and daddy once he couldn't see us and also to remember me and my hubby hand phone numbers.

Ghee... what a nightmare to us. The whole thing just happens not longer than 15 minutes but that moment really feels like a century ...Praise the LORD...

Shawn 8th Month Progress

Shawn's 3th teeth came out and me and my mum in law saw it. 3rd teeth at the upper gum and I think the 4th one is coming out very soon. His 1st teeth was out when he was around 7th old.

Shawn progress quite fast for his age. He can sit on his own with no support but I still put a cursion behind him in case he got too exited and push himself and fall back. He even tried to pull himself up or forward whenever he grap anything in front of him like a chair or the side of his bed.

Mum in law said some baby push their walker with their legs but Shawn actually use his both legs and "walk" while he is in his walker. MIL think that Shawn can walk on his own before he even turns 1 year old. Aiyoo.. so fast ah... After experiencing the 2 elderly boys, I know really tiring to look after a baby who just learn how to walk. Being a mother not easy ya and being a 3 kids mum even harder...

(The older the parents are,the funnier this is!!!) Hahaha!!!!

Shawn Weaning Process

Yap.. Already been breast feed Shawn for 8 months and he has started his solid, so doesn't seems really interested with EBM(express breast milk) already. So, decided to wean him slowly..

I started introduce Formula to Shawn and no problem at all, he just "sapu" everything that me & my mum in law gave. So now slowly he is changing his diet now... Morning Formula, lunch porridge and evening EBM; at night still direct feed but more for comforting only. Really amazing, my body also processing milk lesser compare with previous and I only pump once during my working hour.

Well, still proud to myself for succesfully breast feed my baby for more than 6 months and I can see that he is stronger and healthier than his 2 brothers. I really wish I can feed him longer but really can not tahan him keep biting me. Yap..got teeth already; 2 at his lower gum..aishee, 2 teeth already so fierce can not imagine he got more than that. ;D

See how the weaning process goes, hopefully he can finish the stocks in the fridge and will be fully take formula. But at night, no choice lah.. have to let him suck for comfort but will try to find a way to cut that as well..

Samuel 1st Report Card

Today took half day leave just to attended Samuel's school Parent and Teacher meeting. Went there with hubby and waited for almost an hour only our turn. First come first serve basis...

Frankly speaking, I do not put very high hope for a very good result from Samuel. No tuition and no pushing at home, just finish his daily home work given and also done some spelling, ejaan and what so ever will do. Some more what to expect a working mother can spend a few hour only each night just enough to complete his home work.

Got his report card, he got position 24/40 in his class, 189/283 for the whole std one. Well, position not important but lets look at his marks scored. Hmmm.. Only BM and Math averagely got 52.50% and 59%; the rest is above 85%.

Teacher's comment..Result so so, need to study harder (in chinese comment). Behavior in school..like to talk during classes on, ignore teacher's warning. And likes to make complaint to teacher for some classmate disturbed him but the teacher said he is actually the one who disturbed the classmate and so when the classmate responded the same way to him, he starts to complaint.

Well, not much lecture from me. I just told him what the teacher commented and ask him to be more concentrate in class.

Don't really expect Samuel will score all 100%'s in school which I know some kids do but I guess not my son. See how his progress for the second half year, if still no sign of improvement, might only consider sent him for tuition leh....

Constipation

Aiyaa... Already 4 days darling Shawn not poo-poo. So, decided to give "Fleet Anima" (not sure the word is right??)yesterday evening. Just apply some lotion on the tube and insert then press. Right less than a minute, his face turn red and start ummm... Wow, that's fast !!

Maybe due to darling son just started solid and causes him not having his "big business" daily. Must give him more water and some diluted juices to help him to digest better so that he can run his routine normally...

Porridge Crisis

I have been so “geram” (Frustrated) today that I found out my mum in law did not cook my darling son porridge with the ingredient I have prepared for her.

About a month ago, I grain the rice and ikan bilis into powder just the sake of ease her for cooking the porridge. After a few feeding, she commented that the rice powder which I DIY is not fine enough where she said she can get the grain rice powder is as fine as flour; but that still have to wait for someone to go back to Ipoh and get it. She also commented that the ikan bilis very fishy, not fresh lah and so on..Ipoh ikan bilis is better lah..blah, blah, blah.. I even don’t know how she cook which I thought she knows, she said the result of putting the ikan bilis powder into the porridge are totally tasteless. I think she might have use the wrong method of cooking the porridge. So, she adds soy sauce to my son’s porridge which I don’t think is good for my 7 mths old son.

Anyway, I thought she might just still cook with what I have prepare but than today I found out that she actually cook the normal rice (not my DIY product) and add with water not even the ikan bilis powder. So, I nicely ask her why don’t she just add in the ikan bilis and cook together with the rice in the slow cooker, the result will be nice and sweet then no need to put soy sauce, but she just kept quite..

I look for my DIY product in the kitchen but then totally lost. So gerammmmm…. Totally no idea how to handle this situation. Maybe from now on, I will just cook my own porridge to my darling son on Saturday and Sunday only, then rest of the day let her cook what she want. Don’t care whether she likes it or not..;(

Walker

My Darling son started his walker and for the past one week he has been cruising around the house. The first 3 days, he just sited in the walker and don’t know how to jam with his new toy. With his elder brothers’ help to pushed him around; on the following days he knows how to make full use of it.

He started to enjoy a lot and realized that this thing can actually bring him where he wants to go. He even started to complaint when the grandma puts him back to his bouncing net.

Mum in law will soon tie his walker to the sofa, so that he will not go further and touches any dangerous item or not accidentally pump into the little “house” where my parent in law use to pray..”earth grandpa”..Don’t know why most children like to play with it and mess around the deco in that little space..I guess that’s the level they can reach easily ye…

Can still remember one of my friend darling girl, move everything out from there and she actually sat in there for fun. My friend quickly carries her out and keeps apologies. Haha.. Can imagine that and that’s really make me laugh the whole day..

Shawn

Shawn is my 3rd boy, born last year October. I didn’t register "Shawn” in his birthcert like all his brothers did. Maybe due to the lesson I have learned when I named my 2nd boy. So this time decided not to register in his birthcert.

Shawn, the only child I breastfeed exclusively and I am proud to say that I have successfully breast feed my baby for 6 mths now. So regret (so many regret things ya..) that I didn’t breastfeed my 2 elder boys.

Shawn is a very cute boy and he loves to smile to anyone who plays with him. He will call out to anyone when he is alone and loves to grasp everything around him. He got his 1st hair cut (photo) and the whole family realised that he looks exactly like my dad. We had quite a pleasant experience with his 1st time visiting the hair saloon.

Well, very soon he will cruise around the house and start shouting together with his 2 elder brothers. Man…they grow so fast right.. Sekelip mata aja…

Samuel

Last night when I was trying to upload Samson's photo onto my blog, he saw his brother's picture on the website and he started to beg me to upload his as well.

He is 7 years old now, Wow...times fly. Still remember the day when he was born. I had a c-section when I gave birth to Samuel coz he was breeched. I still remember when he was admitted to hospital when he's 5 months old due to Meningitis. I stayed with him for almost a week and really a nightmare to both me and my husband. If it's doesn't handle carefully, I'm afraid Samuel might have brain damaged. Thank GOD so much for his blessing and protection to Samuel.

He had an accident when he turns 5 which he got his birthday present from his dad, a bicycle. It was May 2005; he was cycling around the playground next to my father-in-law convenience shop which also near to the condominium’s swimming pool. My husband was with Samuel at that time, received a phone call and turned around to answer his hand phone coz line was quite bad. Unfortunately, at the same time, Samuel lost control of his bike and rode straight into the swimming pool. There were 2 adults swimming in the pool at the time, but they did not see him fall in, thinking someone had just jumped into the pool. To make matters worse Samuel didn’t know how to swim. Fortunately, however, a man who was about to enter the condominium lift, but who had previously noticed Samuel cycling around the playground, also heard the splash. As he turned around, he saw Samuel in the pool struggling and his bicycle next to the pool. This man ran and jumped into the pool and pulled Samuel out of the pool. We were very grateful to God for the protection afforded and how He had specifically sent someone to save Samuel. According to the neighborhoods, that man rarely walks around the condominium facilities, but on that particular day had just decided to go out for a stroll! God had arranged for the right person, to be in the right place at just the right time! When I known about that incident, I was so angry and yet worried to my precious boy. We do not have the opportunity to thank that man for saving my son’s life coz we were so shocked and no one in the neighborhoods know which floor he stayed. Personally, I thank this man in my prayer and pray God that He will bless this man. (I also heard from others that he “tak sempat” took out his hand phone from his pocket and guess its sure already spoilt. )

Well, as a parent I realized we can’t watch our kids every hour and every minutes, so the best thing to do is just pray for protection from our God no matter what age they are now. Only He can watch over him every second. Samuel still as happy as before and still love his swimming session but cycling session.. will only make sure the place is safe than only we allow him to take out his bicycle.

Samson

It has been a regret for me to named my 2nd boy Samson. During that time I was choosing a name for my son, I was a new christian and not realising that Samson in the Bible is not a blessed man of God. I chose this name was because I named my 1st son Samuel and in order to have a same alphebet I finally picked Samson after read some references and books which carry the meaning of "Good Listener". I thought it's ok and my husband love it too.

After I have announced my baby's name to all my friends esp Pastor and friends in chruch, they actually adviced me not to use the name coz it is not a good name and afraid that it will be make fun by his school mates later. You know, Samson and Delilah.. Teachers and school mates all called him with this name now and so far no teasing and making fun issue yet. After all, it is not the meaning but the character / personality being placed in the Bible. God left unobeyed Samson without he himself realise it and he had a bad ending too.

But since this has been done in his birth cert, no choice I have to accept it. Perhaps, when he is 12yrs old and doing his new IC, might consider to change it later. Well, mom and dad out there, please choose your kids name carefully other wise will ended up like me, regret and guilty all the way.

My 1st Blog

Have been reading friend's blog and never realised I can have my own too. Well, hope it's not kind of 3 minutes heat to me. I am not a good writer and struggling with my gramma as well. Everyone keep asking me to take up some english classes to buck up my gramma, but well with 3 kids around, I'm afraid back to schooling not my type yet.. Just try my best to be natural or be myself and hopefully can write something I feel comfortable with. Also via this blogs I can share interesting issue with friends who view my blogs too.
