Shawn Lunar Birthday is round the corner. It’s actually on the 16th of eighth. Shawn is turning 2 this year and every time when moon cake festival coming, it’s always bring me back to that year in 2006 when I was pregnant with Shawn.
On the night of 15th of the eighth in Lunar Calendar (it was Friday), I went home from work and had my dinner and took my bath. So decided to bring Samuel and Samson for lighten the lantern at the play ground. The boys so excited and pick up all their lanterns and candles waited for me at the door. I also happily go with them; right after I locked my door gate and step out for few steps, I heard a sound “pop” and warm water flow out from my pants. Immediately I stopped and turned back to my door gate and called out to my mother in law. I know at that point that my little baby is coming. I felt so sorry to my boys and no choice but have to turn them down by cancelling the fun time.
I called my husband and we rushed to the hospital that night. Admitted to the hospital around 10pm and waited at the labor room for the big show to come. Husband needed to rushed back also to arrange all his things and by the time he came and sees me again it was around 12:30am and it was raining outside. At about 1 something, I ask my husband to go back and rest because I don’t know how long he needed to wait and tomorrow he got business to run. Shawn came to the world later mid morning and he looks like my dad..(that’s my 1st impression ;)…) Discharge on Sunday and it was very hazy especially on that day which this kind of air condition happen to Malaysia every year..
That’s how my memories been recalled every year on how he came to the world on such a special occasion and easily reminded by the family members. And this will continue be reminded coming years…
God blesses me for what I have today. I thank God for his plan and always there for me whenever or whatever I do. Thank you Lord Jesus!!
