Potty Train Shawn

I had my 1 week leave on 06/12 till 14/12. Since didn't plan for any trip, so I decided to stay at home and be a full time mother and wife. Oh, Parents in law so happy that they were able to off for holiday in Ipoh for that week since I told them I will taking care of the children. I almost cook for my boys everyday and they enjoy mummy is staying at home with them for the whole week.

One important mission planned for that week was to train Shawn how to use the potty. I bought one traditional plastic potty and started the training right after the PIL off back to Ipoh.

Shawn enjoy sitting on the potty but not doing any business in the beginning. So I put him diapers free and told him that if he wants to "shi-shi" must tell mummy.

First few days really a mass as Shawn don't like to poo or pee in the potty but after few accidents and my disciplinary, he finally start doing his business in the potty. The pee not so bad, he smiles when I show him his result, only when he poo that's really torture. He tahan is poo-poo for 2 days and when I saw that can not tahan face, I quickly got him to sit on the potty and watched him doing his poo-poo. He cried and cried for his 1st big business and was like someone biting him. Immediately I praise him for his good result than gave him a sweet as reward. He smiles....

Now already 3 weeks and he is doing very well. Manage to tell me every time he feels he wanted to do business. But one thing is that he dislike his potty, he rather poo or pee in our toilet. He likes to do it like his second brother; putting the additional flap on top of the adult toilet flap. So now he doing all his business like an adult liao.

X'Mas 2008

Wow!! This year's Christmas is so special to me, hubby and the boys!!

We had a family count down on Christmas Eve at Sunway Pyramid...

The boys enjoy it so much coz this is their 1st time going out to the public and count down together!!

The only disappointment we had was no fire works happening that night. We went to Borneo RainForest to had our countdown and ordered Marco's Pizza as supper while waiting for the count to come. Shawn loves the Pizza so much until he raised his thumb.

The next day, on the actual day of Christmas day; we rushed to the church at 7:45am as Samuel participate an important role for Children church item. He needs to makeup and dress up as Joseph..

Samson With His New Glasses

On Friday we went shopping at Giant and we passed by an optical shop. So, we decided to put Samson on his eyesight test coz we do noticed that Samson always sits very close to the TV or sometimes squeeze his eyes so hard when watching TV.

Result came out for his eyesight test was shocking enough for me and daddy. The optician says Samson is having astigmatism and it's about 250 on one eye and another one about 260. He also says that we should bring Samson to see eye specialist and check on his eye coz at his age it is hard to tell how accurate the machine is.

So, we went to the eye specialist on Saturday. The optician checks on his eye again and put him on the reading of alphabets. They also put some eye drops to make his pupils bigger and check again by the Dr. Dr advices us to come back on Monday and get Samson to put on the same degree they've got just now. Dr also says by than he will know that whether Samson able to tolerates with that degree and if he able to tolerates with it than Samson can make his 1st glasses. And the new reading from the eye specialist is 100 on his right eye and 75 on his left eye. Wow!! So much different! As what Dr has mentioned, children below 12 need to see eye specialist in order to get the right advice on their eyes. One day must bring Samuel to do his eye check again from the specialist.

Monday, Dr confirms his degree and we went to the optical shop to choose his glasses in the evening. He got his glasses ready yesterday evening. He can't wait to try on the glasses and show off to his brother. I wonder how long he will take care his glasses, sign....

Haha, look at him with his new glasses on... not bad ya..

Shawn The Barber

Yesterday Shawn found a pair of scissor inside my first aid kit box and what he does is he cut his own hair. Daddy was in the toilet and left him alone with the 2 koko in my room. The two koko noticed it but couldn't border to stop the brother playing with the scissor. I know that old pair of scissor no longer sharp anymore and it's also quite heavy for a 2 year old to play with it. He managed to cut his hair at the front and on top of his head.

Anyway, I do praise GOD that he doesn't cut his fingers or ears or ........Thank GOD for that!!!

In the event, two koko got lectured and Shawn of course got his as well. Daddy put the first aid kit in the wardrobe outside which also a store room to us. When I came home yesterday evening, I also give him my warning but all he does was giving me a beautiful cheeky laugh, sign....

Shawn nowadays really can not leave him out from your sight coz I remember there's one day I saw him climbing up my book shelf to reach to something that he noticed and wanted so much to have it. Praise GOD too that I nailed my book shelf onto the wall when I bought it from IKEA.

Well, all incident happening is really can not be avoidable especially toddler like him. I put my trust on GOD and HE will watch over all my 3 precious boys when my eye need some rest... ;)

Shawn 2nd Birthday Celebration

We had the cake blowing ceremony for Shawn last night. I bought a Pandan layer cake, only 1/2 kg; simple and nice. He enjoy the event but not seen on face; he looks blur. I think the most enjoyable part for him is the cake cutting ceremony.

Pangkor Trip

Just came back from a long Raya holiday. We went back to Ipoh on Wednesday(1st day of Raya) and then depart to Lumut Jeti on Thursday and travel by ferry to Pulau Pangkor. I and my husband brought 4 boys with us; one of them is my brother in law's son.

They never been to Pulau pulau before so they really enjoy themselves so much there. Especially at the beach and don't know why they still enjoy so much at the hotel's swmiming pool.

Samuel and Samson love the beach and sand but Shawn don't really enjoy the sand. Maybe he felt not that comfy to step his feet on the sand. That's really reminds me when Samson also having the same problem when we brought him to the beach at Penang few years back. I think he was about 2 years old too. Same reaction..haha..scared of sand..

Btw, sand at Pasir Bogak not really fine. Oh ya, satay fish there really nice ohhh... Bought few packs for family and friends. Ikan bilis also not bad, very silvery.

We stayed one night at Coral Bay Hotel and it's a nice hotel. Depart the next morning after the swimming section again and leave Pangkor about 12 noon.

Luckily got this sling to help me to carry this 12kg little fella.. Sign..
